Tyne Daly


Tyne Daly created the role of Katharine Gerard in the world premiere of Mothers and Sons at Bucks County Playhouse. She appeared on Broadway, in London and in Washington in Terrence McNally’s Master Class. In 2011 she was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame. Theater: NY: The Butter and Egg Man (NY debut 1966), That Summer—That Fall (Broadway debut 1967), Gypsy (1990 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards) and Rabbit Hole (Tony nomination). L.A.: Ashes; Three Sisters; Gethsemane Springs and Come Back, Little Sheba. Television: Six nominations and four Emmy Awards for Cagney & Lacey and Emmys for Christy and Judging Amy. Television films include Intimate Strangers, The Women's Room, Larry, The Entertainer, Kids Like These, Bye Bye Birdie and The Wedding Dress. Films: John & Mary, The Enforcer, Telefon, Zoot Suit and Basmati Blues, which she filmed in India.
