Barry Mitchell is a producer, comedian and musician whose quirky video essays have appeared on CNN, the BBC, and ABC News, where he achieved cult status as the accordion-playing perpetrator of “The World News Polka”, the toe-tapping theme song of ABC-TV’s overnight broadcast, World News Now. Barry Mitchell's humorous take on the news can now be seen on CUNY TV shows including City Talk. From April, 2006, he will also host Hopalong Cassidy Theater, Saturday mornings on CUNY TV.
