Ms. Romer shares her thought process as she came to the idea of building a Globe Theater on Governor's Island. She explains the parallels between the original Globe Theatre of Shakespeare's time and Castle Williams, which has the same dimensions as the original as well as a similar connection to the water. Ms. Romer discusses the way in which the New Globe would celebrate the New World and New York and house an American theatrical company and school. She also talks us through the process of the renovation of Governor's Island.
