After the Stonewall riots in 1969, gay men and lesbians were still asked by the police for their parade permit when more than two of them walked together on the sidewalk. They said enough and began one of the most spirited campaigns to secure the same rights and freedom everyone else has, celebrating their determination with the first Gay Pride Parade. Now 40 years later to the day, June 28, to be exact, thousands and thousands from curb to curb will march down Fifth Avenue and there will be no stopping - only cheers. Allen Roskoff came of age during this remarkable post Stonewall era and he joins Ronnie in this episode.
