Libby Appel spends her time in the mountains of Oregon, coordinating the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, which attracts large audiences from the West Coast of the United States. Appel discusses being a “Shakespeare Festival” that performs more modern and classic plays than Shakespeare, maintaining a resident company in a fairly remote location, and the sense of tradition and loyalty that bring audiences back year after year.
