Best known for her creation of the first Mimi in Rent, Daphne Rubin- Vega  comments on how her career has expanded to traditional musicals  like Les Miserables, as well as the more edgy projects with, for  example, the multicultural LAByrinth Theater Company. She also  talks insightfully about the challenges of being a Latina actress.
