Original tape date: June 9, 2017.
First aired: November 7, 2017.
The film gives a brief overview of the Qin and Han dynasties, the most important in Chinese history. By utilizing 2,000-year-old art objects from The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Age of Empires exhibit, Chinese art curator Dr. Zhixin Jason Sun takes viewers on an informative journey exploring terracotta depictions of soldiers, dancers and musicians; a burial jade suit; and a Greco-Roman sculpture that reveals a connection between China's Qin dynasty and the West at the time of Alexander the Great. Featuring more than 160 objects (sets) from 32 museums in the People’s Republic of China, the exhibition took five years for the Met to complete.
