On this episode of “Art or Something Like It!,” Michael Krasowitz, Shakerleg, Benton C., and Heru discuss their art and what inspires them.

Michael Krasowitz is a printmaker and painter, inspired by Jack Karuac, John Cage, surrealism and stream-of-consciousness art. His art is experimental and creative in a way that he creates images not seen before.

Heru is a poet in which he touches upon racial and ethnic issues within his spoken-word poems in order to ignite political and social action.

Benton C. Bainbridge is a video artist, inspired by public television, such as the Sesame Street show and the Electric Company show. The simple colors and strange moving shapes seen in these programs has influenced his art immensely.

Shakerleg is a subway performer within New York City, who loves creating music and inspiring others through his sounds and dances.
