Nearly a thousand black women from all over the country gathered for the Power Rising Summit held in Atlanta, GA in February. The event has been called the largest political gathering of Black Women in the country.

This report captures key moments from the event as Black America host, Carol Jenkins touches on how Black women have been instrumental in several key elections in the United States, yet make up less than 5% of elected officials in public office.
