An iconic venue for independent music, The Knitting Factory, was an early Michael Dorf establishment. At 23, he built a business around his passion for music. Mr. Dorf went on to form the Tribeca Hebrew, an after school program-to the creation of Tribute concerts at Carnegie Hall-and now, to the City Winery of New York (Chicago, Napa, and Nashville), where people come to experience wine, culture and music.
