"David, Delacroix, and Revolutionary France: Drawings from the Louvre" at The Morgan Library
Revolutionary times create revolutionary art. From the time of the French Revolution of 1789 through the reign of King Louis-Philippe and the establishment of the Second Empire in 1852, an incredible concentration of artistic talent brought its collective skill to bear on one of the most turbulent times in French history. The exhibition David, Delacroix,
and Revolutionary France: Drawings from the Louvre at The Morgan Library and Museum offers a unique window on the visual culture of this period. Curator Jennifer Torkovich offers expert commentary for CANAPE.
