Today, right wing Prime Minister Shinzo Abe makes mutual security arrangements with India, Australia and Indonesia as he refuses to acknowledge the horror of Japan’s militaristic past. Sheila Smith tells Jim Zirin that the US must craft a new policy to manage the Japan relationship.
