Episode Details

Original tape date: April 17, 2018.

First aired: April 30, 2018.

Jimmy O’Neill became New York City’s 43rd police commissioner in September 2016. On his watch, there has been a continuation of lower crime and homicide rates, a thwarting of terrorist attacks, and a renewed commitment to improve police-community relations. But there are lingering public questions about the NYPD disciplinary system, and inadequate allocation of resources to the sex crimes unit. O’Neill tells Jim Zirin of the NYPD’s relationship with its five monitoring agencies.
