Human rights activists Schulman and Salas discuss their work for the Urban Justice Center Human Rights Project and the Women of Color Policy Network to create socially just policies in the city government, and the use of international codes of human rights to solve problems that cannot adequately be addressed by Constitutional law alone. They speak about their efforts to raise consciousness of human rights abuses and to localize international treaties in order to stop discrimination against women and racial minorities.
