We're talking about chronic constipation--a GI disorder diagnosed in people who've had symptoms for at least 6 months and meet specific criteria. So while for many people going to the bathroom is second nature -- millions of others have trouble - and find themselves unwilling to talk to family, friends or physicians about it.
