On this edition of Independent Sources hosted by Sarah Pizon, we mark Memorial Day with a look at Military Accessions Vital to the National Interest/MAVNI. The controversial program encourages immigrants with in-demand language and medical skills to enroll in the U.S. military by offering them a fast track to citizenship. Then we learn about the effort to commemorate the accomplishments of the Puerto Rican 65th Infantry Regiment, the only all Hispanic unit in the history of the U.S. Army.
