On the edition of Independent Sources, hosted by Garry Pierre-Pierre, we talk about whether communities around the country are ready to help the unprecedented number of federal prisoners who are about to be released as a result of over crowding and harsh drug laws. We hear how a decorated veteran of the FDNY is now helping women who have suffered through physical abuse. Then, we zoom over to the Jacob Javits Center for some highlights from this year’s New York City Comic Con, including an Australian immigrant who’s created something called augmented reality comics. Then of course, what’s Comic Con, without some cool costumes?
