The 100th Commemoration of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, one of the deadliest industrial disasters in the history of the city of New York that resulted in the deaths of 146 garment workers. The Commemoration includes speeches remembering the workers who died in the fire, the rights they fought to obtain for factory workers like them, and the impact the disaster had on worker’s rights as well as reenactments of some of the memorable events of workers fight for rights, such as Clara Lemlich’s call for a strike.
