Episode Details
Dean Anthony Julian Tamburri speaks to three people involved with the Italian-American Community in the greater New York area. With Joseph Sciame (VP Community Relations at St. John’s University), we learn what events dedicated to Italian heritage and culture are planned for the months of October and November. Ramu Damodaran (Chief Officer, United Nations Academic Impact) discusses the Italian-American ties between the community and the UN’s Academic Impact, of which numerous CUNY Colleges are members. James Periconi, in turn, discusses his current show of Italian language books printed in the United States in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.
