En este episodio, celebramos con Colombia su independencia, asistiendo a una representación del Carnaval de Barranquilla, evento que ha sido declarado patrimonio de la humanidad por la Unesco y con el cual se mantiene viva la identidad afrocolombiana. Carmen Boullosa entrevista a Laura Esquivel, escritora mexicana que escribió “Como agua para chocolate” y es una de las autoras más leídas del momento. Después asistimos a la reunión anual de Supervisores y Administradores Dominicano-Americanos de la Educación (ADASA, por sus siglas en inglés). Los cubanos se hacen presentes con Jorge Moya, director creativo de la agencia Reynardus and Moya, con quien Patrico Lerzundi habla de los encantos de la publicidad en el mercado hispano y para el cierre tendremos a Paquito d'Rivera, músico y compositor cuya trayectoria en el jazz latino ha sido reconocida con una buena cantidad de premios y reconocimientos a nivel mundial.
