Este episodio presenta lo más relevante de la primera temporada; empezamos con las Hermanas Márquez, cantantes cubanas que al mudarse a Nueva York, trajeron consigo toda su herencia y sabor isleño. Después Carmen Boullosa, nos introduce a la escritora colombiana Laura Restrepo, mujer interesada con la condición y contradicción humanas, que se involucró con la política de su país y de la misma forma narra exquisitas historias de locura y amor. Luego el tema de la migración inunda nuestra pantalla con las manifestaciones y demandas políticas, en contra de la propuesta migratoria HR4437. Y para finalizar, Miguel Pérez periodista cubano nos muestra cómo un latino, aborda su profesión con pasión y emoción.
