This edition: Episodio #37: Fundación Génesis, María Marín, Potencial Global, Orlando "Puntialla" Ríos

Episode Details

Original tape date: November 20, 2008.

---

We begin this show with Manhattan's Genesis Foundation, which donates $2 million annually to educational programs in Colombia and the U.S. With the support of businesspeople and small donors, their
philanthropic work benefits 70,000 boys and girls in low income communities in both countries.

Then, Patricio Lerzundi takes us to Midtown Manhattan to meet María Marín, one of the world's foremost experts on personal success techniques. This Puerto Rican has taught thousands of executives the art of negotiation, in Spain, the U.S. and Latin America.

Then we're off to Brooklyn, to the International School of Prospect Heights, where we interview the participants of the Global Potential Program. Thanks to this project, a group of teens from different countries lived for six weeks in the Batey 8 community in the Dominican Republic.

And, finally, we travel to Washington D.C., to the American Folklive Festival, to delight in the magnificent music of the Grupo Folklórico y Experimental Nuevayorquino, in their first appearance in the U.S. in 30 years. Sadly, it was the last live performance by the great Cuban percussionist Orlando "Puntilla" Ríos, to whom this piece is dedicated.
