Dedicamos este episodio a la Conferencia de Música Latina Alternativa, conocida como LAMC, por sus siglas en inglés, un evento anual en el que artistas, periodistas y profesionales de la música crean vínculos y dan a conocer sus proyectos musicales.

Iniciamos con Tomas Cookman fundador de la Conferencia y director de Nacional Records, una compañía de distribución independiente que representa artistas como Manu Chao, Aterciopelados y Nortec Collective.

A continuación hablamos con la artista dominicana Rita Indiana, narradora urbana, escritora de novelas, quien es además cantante y compositora del grupo de merengue Los Misterios.

Nos reunimos luego con Novalima, un colectivo musical que ha logrado el reconocimiento internacional gracias a la fusión sonidos electrónicos y percusión, con canciones de la tradición afroperuana.

Finalmente, en Celebrate Mexico Now, conversamos con la cantante mexicana Ely Guerra sobre sus más de 20 años de carrera musical y su nueva etapa como productora independiente.

This episode is dedicated to the Latin Alternative Music Conference or LAMC. In this annual event, artists journalists and music professionals establish networks an showcase their musical projects.

Let's begin with Tomas Cookman, founder of the conference and director of Nacional Records, an independent distribution company which represents artists such as Manu Chao, Aterciopelados and Nortec Collective.

Then, we'll talk with Dominican artist Rita Indiana. She's an urban narrator, novelist, and vocalist and composer for merengue band Los Misterios.

Later, we will meet Novalima, a musical collective that has achieved international recognition thanks to the fusión of electronic and percussion sounds in songs from the Afro-Peruvian tradition.

Finally, in Celebrate Mexico Now, we'll talk with Mexican singer Ely Guerra about her 20-year career in music and her new professional phase as an independent producer.
