We start off in Manhattan with Bolivian Carla Ortiz, who is a producer and actress in Forgotten, a fiction film which takes place in the era of dictatorships that were established in Latin America as a part of Operation Condor.

After that, we head to Queens to talk with Dominican folk musician and singer Irka Mateo. She talks to us about how finding out about her Taino and African Latina roots led her to develop her unique musical style, which we can see in her latest release, Vamo a Goza.

Later on, we head to Chelsea, where Patricio Lerzundi interviews the Mexican writer and academic Jorge Castañeda, who discusses his biography, Amarres Perros, his experiences as a politician and his disappointment with some of this century's most  famous people in both politics and literature. Castañeda also gives us a brief analysis of his thoughts about Mexico.

To wrap things up, we head out into the streets to meet up with Jennica Carmona, a Puerto Rican film director. She talks to us about her film Millie and the Lords, which was filmed in Spanish Harlem. The film tells the story of Milagros Baez, an aspiring writer who, while in search of a better life, learns about legacy of the Young Lords, a revolutionary group from the '70s who fought for the rights of the Puerto Rican community in the U.S.
