Prison inmates are often mentally ill, some have drug problems, others suffer from AIDS. Many inmates are very old. Elizabeth Gaynes of The Osborne Association has devoted her career to helping both the incarcerated, the formerly incarcerated, and their families to become economically and emotionally independent. She talks about prison overpopulation and the lack of programs to prepare inmates for life on the outside.
