First aired: March 12, 2018.

The process of voting is the absolutely essential foundation of our democracy, but that foundation has been under very serious and sustained attack by Russia and, incredibly, right here at home by America’s very own Republican Party. Why are so many so intent on subverting free and fair elections in the United States of America, and more importantly, what can we do about it? Bob asks these questions of an expert on voting rights and the administration of elections, Myrna Perez, deputy director of the Brennan Center’s Democracy program and the head of the center’s Voting rights and elections project.
