This documentary honors the life and legacy of Professor Frank Bonilla, a pioneer in the fields of Latino and Puerto Rican studies. It traces his life from humble roots in New York City, through his active participation in combat during WWII with the 65th Infantry; his intellectual formation and the development of social science research in Latin America; and his legacy of institutional building as founder of the Center for Puerto Rican Studies and the Inter-University Project for Latino Research.
