Episode Details

Original tape date: September 11, 2014.

First aired: September 28, 2014.

On the season premiere of Study With the Best, we're looking at performers across the CUNY system. We'll profile Danny Burstein, a Queens College graduate who's currently in Cabaret, and who has a long CUNY family lineage. Michael Mossman is an international jazz artist and a professor at the Aaron Copland School of Music. We look at the performance artist George Emilio Sanchez, who teaches at the College of Staten Island. Jherelle Benn is a spoken word artist in the early stages of her career and is a student at Brooklyn College. And finally we'll profile comedian and Baruch College graduate Kerry Coddett, who's essay about the lack of black representation at NBC's SNL prompted the show to take some action.
