Playwright DOUGLAS CARTER BEAN, explains WHY he is devoting his extensive talents to transforming the 1980 disco-fantasy-flop film, XANADU, into a a madcap musical comedy for Broadway and explains his chances for winning the 2007 Best Play Tony for which he was nominated (taped June 1, 2007).

Also Tony-winning librettist/lyricist STEVEN SATER and tony-winning director MICHAEL MAYER discuss putting together their triumphant musical SPRING AWAKENING. (Cameo appearances by Duncan Sheik, Bill T. Jones, Michael Musto and Jesse Green of The New York Times.)
