In preparation for the 2016 G7 Summit, Dennis Wholey visits the Mie Prefecture in Japan, where leading countries of the world will gather. The Governor of Mie, Eikei Suzuki explains why Mie was selected to host the important G7 Summit and then Dennis travels around the prefecture to discover for himself what makes Mie so unique. Interviews explore the Ise Grand Shrine which is the tremendously important spiritual home of the Shinto religion and other segments include the historic Mikimoto Pearl Island, cutting edge businesses exploring grinding machines, motion control technology and robots as well as the rare delicacy, Matsusaka Beef. Each interview shows that in Japan, whether you are in Mie or elsewhere there is always more to discover beneath the surface.
