Virginia Fields, Manhattan Borough President; Victor Bach, Community Service Society Housing Policy Director; Judith Goldiner, Legal Aid Society; Dushaw Hockett, Public Housing Alliance; Ron Ward, Brooklyn East Tenants Association; and Anne Bradshaw, President of Taft Houses and public housing resident, to discuss at length the changes in federal law that will affect the 700,000 New Yorkers who live in public housing. The panel advocates that the residents of NYC public housing voice their feedback and concerns regarding the new bill. The panel calls the act a step toward "devolution" for NYC's public housing and believes more must be done to protect and improve public housing in the City.
