This edition: Carrie Robbins, costume designer

Episode Details

Original tape date: May 26, 2006.

Known best for her re-creation of the 1950s look in the hit musical Grease, costume designer Carrie Robbins describes how she went from coloring in thrift-store wigs with magic marker to now using computers to help her design elaborate and beautiful costumes. Her interest in working in the theatre started in set design, but when a professor told her that women don't design sets, she changed her course of study to costume design, which may explain her very technical approach to costumes.
